Marie Curie Initial Training Network

The recruitment for the Marie Curie Initial Training Network: "The role of the Calcium Sensing Reseptor (CaSR) in health and disease, implications for translational medicine" (Multifaceted CaSR), funded by the European Community  has been successfully accomplished. 10 Early Stage Researchers and an Experienced Researcher are now working on the Multifaceted CaSR project.

10 Early Stage Researchers and one Experienced Researcher have been recruited and are now working on the Multifaceted CaSR project.

Medical University of Vienna, Austria Awards
Abhishek Aggarwal comes from India and has a Master Degree in Medical Genetics. Abhishek joined our Project in October 2011 and is working in WP1: Cancer.  
  • Young Investigator Award at the 20th Austrian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism Meeting, Innsbruck, Austria in March 2015
  • Young Investigator Award at the 2nd International Symposium on the Calcium-sensing Receptor, San Diego, USA in March 2015

Irfete Fetahu from Kosovo has a Master Degree in Pharmacy. Irfete joined our Project in April 2011 and is working in WP1: Cancer.

Samawansha Tennakoon comes from Sri Lanka. She has a Master Degree in Biomedical Basis of Diseases. Samawansha joined our Project in October 2011 and is working in WP3: Signalling.

Joao Graça comes from Portugal and has a Master Degree in Biochemistry. Joao joined our Project in October 2011 and is working in WP2: Vascular calcification.

Irene Lopez from Spain has a Master Degree in Biomedicine, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Irene joined our Project in September 2011 and is working in WP2: Vascular calcification

Susanne Roth from Germany has a Master Degree in Molecular Biosciences. Susanne joined our Project in October 2011 and is working in WP3: Signalling.

Fellows who have already left the project

Sarah Brennan came from Australia and has a Master Degree in Innovation and Enterprise and a PhD in Biochemistry. Sarah joined our Project in September 2011 and was working in WP2: Vascular calcification at Cardiff University until August 2013.
Ursula Thiem came from Austria and has a Master Degree in Medicine. Ursula joined our Project in June 2012 and was working in WP1: Cancer at Université de Picardie Jules Verne until June 2013.
